Each Step Requires Thought

By design, each note that you take should require thought. Fleeting notes require you to put into words what you are thinking. Literature notes require you to rewrite what you have read. Permanent notes require to take these other two types of notes and rewrite them with an audience that does not have your context. Your final work requires that you combine your permanent notes into a fluid piece.

The system forces these steps in order to facilitate learning. Following this system is deliberate practice.
